WWSDT: Newk's Retreat TOMORROW!!!
Good Morning Team and Happy Friday!!
Thanks to all that came out last night for our first event of the season, the Orange and Black Meet; it was so much fun!!
Tomorrow Saturday, September 16, is our team retreat. Below is some important information regarding the event:
IMPORTANT TIMES
- Please be at the school by 6:45am so that we can assign cars.
- The retreat starts at 8:45a
- The retreat ends at 4:00pm
- We should arrive back at the school between 5:30p and 6:00pm. Please stay in contact with your athlete to confirm what time we will leave. If you are not driving please be at the school to pick up your athlete on time.
WHAT TO EXPECT
- Everyone needs to wear the team Burnt Orange Dry-Fit shirt.
- Everyone participating needs to have a signed waiver. If you have not turned in a waiver, please print the attached document and bring with you in the morning.
- Car groups will be assigned. This means if you are driving, your athlete may not be riding with you. Athletes are NOT allowed to drive themselves to or from the event.
- Drivers, thank you so much! We will see you at 6:45 to get all the athletes situated in the proper cars. If you signed up for return rides only please be at the location by 3:30pm.
- Lunch will be served at the retreat.
- Bring a water bottle, it will be hot.
DIRECTIONS

** Some of the apps direct you to T Bar M as there is a connecting road between the 2 properties – however, there is a locked gate that won’t allow you to enter our side, so make sure to go to Mission Valley Road and do not enter into T Bar M!
From Austin / Dallas
- Hwy 35 South to New Braunfels (Approximately 45 miles south of Austin)
- Exit #189 (Seguin/New Braunfels)
- Turn right at stop light - you will then be going west on Loop 337
- Go 5 miles on Loop 337 until you come to the Hwy 46 exit - Take that exit and turn right at stop light
- Go about 2 miles on Hwy 46 and you will see a big water tower on your left that says "Newks Resort"
- Turn left at the tower (Mission Valley Road) and stay on that road about 1/2 mile
- The entrance will be the 2nd set of buildings on the left. The Main Lodge is by the parking lot. ( The 1st complex on the left is our Tennis Academy )

On a side note the Potluck and Senior Recognition is Sunday morning and we still need about 7 more main dishes, if you can SIGN UP for this that would be amazing!
